Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work; you don't give up.----- --Anne Lamott
Oh how I adore you. You qouted something about hope, which I require, from the woman who wrote the book "Operating Instructions" which kept me from not teetering over the edge of sanity during my son's first year.
Wow. One never really knows how someone's words can touch another person's heart, can we. Thanks so much for re-visiting and commenting. I have noticed your recent comments on my blog and will start to respond to them today. I am making a special entry so you won't have to go back and dig through my blog. One thing I noticed about myself, last year, when I was in blogland a lot, was that when I took the time to read, to think about how I wanted to respond ( because some things need a more thoughtful response) and certain bloggers not even acknowledging it. Not that I wanted a response all the time. But at certain times, when I really take the time to do something and try to respond whole-heartedly it is nice to know that they even read it. What do you think?
No one ever teaches us how to be good parents and when we think we have mastered it, everything changes, circumstances change and age changes way too fast. And even when they leave home, marry, etc. one still worries, wonders about their previous and current parenting skills. I am interested in reading about this. I am sure its in your blog and I prob. just forgot this part. Now I am curious.
